Map2D Database is composed of various sources of observed magnetogram and EUV maps.
  • WSO  : Wilcox Solar Observatory. Synoptic magnetogram for different Carrington rotation. http://wso.stanford.edu/
  • NSO/GONG  : National Solar Observatory/Global Oscillation Network Group. Synoptic magnetogram, daily or for different Carrington rotation. https://gong.nso.edu/

  • id : ID file
  • dirname : folder containing the map2D file
  • filename : filename
  • fetch_type : from which fetch_type it comes from (cf interface_fetch_map2D details)
  • data_type :br, euv171, euv193, euv304, wl (white light), vmerid (meridional speed), vzonal (zonal speed)
  • map_type : smap (synchronic), crmap (Carrington), fd (full disk)
  • date_begin : observation date
  • date_end : same as date_begin for smap
  • cr : current Carrington rotation
  • fetch_level : integer (0 is original, 1, 2...)
  • modification_date : date of download or creation
  • vmin : minimum value for reading map
  • vmax : maximum value for reading map
