Two column left menu layout dimensions Two column left menu layout dimensions Composante radiale du champ magnétique près de la surface pour deux simulations numériques 3D de l'advection d'un champ dipolaire par une rotation différentielle. A gauche une instabilité non-axisymétrique du champ azimuthal s'est développée, détruisant la distribution dipolaire initiale. A droite, le champ dipolaire initial n'est pratiquement pas perturbé par la rotation différentielle car la tension magnétique a limité la rotation différentielle avant que celle-ci ne provoque la croissance d'une instabilité jusqu'à des niveaux significatifs (Jouve et al., A&A 575, 2015).
