The Astronomer recipe

"1/3 research + 1/3 teaching + 1/3 engeneering"

1/
As a "magnetospherician" my research involves analyzing satellite data and performing computer simulations of space plasmas processes at work in the magnetosphere. See the list of publications below for more details.

Read also my PhD thesis : "Étude des phénomènes d'accélération de particules dans les régions aurorales des magnétosphères" [tel-00010474]

2/
I'm teaching in the Master Recherche "Astrophysique, Sicences de l'Espace, Planétologhie". See the related page (in French).

3/
I work for the CDPP, the French Plasma Physics database which archives data from satellite/ground missions. In this context I'm the Project Scientist of AMDA an on-line analysis tool for space physics data (read the related article). Ask for a login or use the 'guest login' procedure.

Here's a short CV (in French).
Have a look to this nice cartoon introduction to space physics ! (in French)

The aurora borealis in the background was shot in 1998 in Abisko, North Sweden. You can see more of them in high definition at the Photothèque CNRS.
