I am a
high-energy/particle astrophysicist with a passion for
instrument development and education. My research activities
focus on studying high-energy phenomena in the Universe,
especially through observations in gamma rays. Some topics I
have been working on are: particle acceleration in supernova
remnants and massive-star forming regions, the highest-energy
phenomena in pulsars and their relativistic wind nebulae, the
origin and propagation of cosmic rays, diffuse gamma-ray
emission, gamma-ray emission as a tracer of the interstellar
medium in the multiwavelength context, and the matter-antimatter
asymmetry in the Universe. I am actively involved in the NASA's
Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope mission and in the
development of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) Observatory.
